Best hardware store anywhere!!! They have just about everything you could think of and MORE, much, much more! The absolute best thing they've got goint (not to mention the charm of the place) is the most attentive staff! They will find what you are looking for and if they can't (this has happened to me only twice since moving to Placerville in 2012) they give you a few recommendations! I was in Placerville, and found a great bird bath at this store. When I returned to my home in Reno, Nv., my wife fell in love with it, and wanted another one for our yard. I couldn't find any suitable bird baths in Reno, so I called Placerville Hardware, and the owner, Albert, said he still had some in stock. I picked one out, paid for it over the phone, and they shipped it the next day, for a very reasonable price. We couldn't be more pleased.
